Birthday Cupcakes & Butts
Birthday's, cupcakes, and butts. Which of these things doesn't belong? Yup, butts! So Kenna had a surprise 16th birthday party given by her friends. Emma Clawson lovingly made some wonderfully tasty chocolate cupcakes. After the party she brought home one for each of us. So when Grandma came strolling over with her walker, we gave her one to take back to her side to eat and enjoy. She sat it on the seat of her walker. A few minutes went by and then she decided to stay and hear about the party. Well her cupcake met a horrible demise! She forgot it was sitting on the seat and she turned around and sat down (on her cupcake). Makenna calmly asked "Grandma, where is your cup cake? Are you sitting on it?" Well here is a before and after shot of the cupcakes, and yes she took it home and ate it! It still tasted wonderful!

Baby Animal Days

So I got to go to "Baby Animal Days" and be an "official" photographer. It was a blast and I got a lot of good pictures. Maybe America West Heritage Center will like one and want to use it sometime. Oh well If they don't, so what, I still had a great time. Makenna and Jaymie went as my assistants. They helped me keep a record of peoples names and helped them sign a photo release form. The baby bears reminded me of Eli, and I kept wishing Logan was there to hold the baby animals.

Snow in Utah!
Grandma Johnson is not just a telephone!
This post is for Logan. I don't want to fade from his memory and be only a voice on the phone. So even though I don't like showing pictures of me (I'm always the one behind the camera) I'll do it for Logan.Sunday, February 15, 2009
High Speed Internet!
Ah the luxuries of the 21st century! It may have taken us nine years to finally get Internet, but it is so nice. Seeing as we now have normal Internet I can finally keep the blog up to date!

The Garden
Here is our garden. As you can see we have made alot of progress since this winter. Our garden is a square foot garden which means that you can grow more food in less space. The cages are not to keep the plants in, they are to keep our mischievous cat out. We found last year that she thoroughly enjoyed digging up all of our carrots and killing our herbs. So this year we came up the cages and it is working so far.

Capitol Reef
We recently took a family vacation to Capitol Reef National Park. It was a fun trip. The weather was sunny and warm the whole time. Between hiking, playing games, and playing with Logan we never were board. This trip brought back alot of good memories that the red rocks and fruit orchards of Capitol Reef will always hold for me and for my family.
